Support of Young Researchers under 35 years of age
Chance to win one of several awards:
- the Tom Bell Young Author Award (TBYAA), which consists in free participation at the next IFHTSE World Congress in Italy 2027,
- the IFHTSE World Congress scholarship, a financial support,
- and the Riebensahm-Preis regularly given at AWT’s HeatTreatmentCongress and Steel Innovation, both worth 2000 €.
To candidate for the TBYAA, just click the respective tickbox at the registration form for lectures when you submit your abstract! Candidates for the Paul-Riebensahm-Preis are automatically nominated when they enter their date of birth on the registration form for the lectures.
IFHTSE World Congress Scholarship - Invitation to participate for free
IFHTSE will reimburse the invited persons for the travel, accomodation, and attendance cost provided they present a paper in the World Congress.
Candidates shall submit
- a letter of support from their professor or supervisor on letterhead,
- a summary of max 200 words on their degree programme and on their present project(s)
- a travel plan indicating the costs they expect for travel, accomodation, and registration fee.
The files shall be emailed to info@awt.online.org until March 15, 2026, under the reference: „Free participation at the World Congress“. The IFHTSE Executive Committee will select the candidates and inform them. The candidates shall also submit an abstract for the congress by the form “Application for lectures”.
